For a recent exhibition I finished a portrait of a local, I started last year. This time I tried to use colors more sparsely.

I’m often planning to reduce the amount of colors in these portrait paintings. But once I start, I see so many nice variations that I find it hard to hold myself back. With this one it worked out well, which helps keep the drawing stronger by itself.
