"Katia Kabanova" (OperaZuid, Maastricht 2011)

The drawings below are for “Katia Kabanova“. The opera plays in Russia at the end of the 19th century (1860 in the original play, and 1890 in this version) – with more historically accurate designs.

But first some photos of the production – here you can see the mud that covered the whole stage, which I had to preview on the designs also.
