These are paintings I did on a week of vacation in Venice. Didn't turn out as well as I hoped, but that doesn't matter, since it's good training and lots and lots of fun.
What gave the whole journey a special touch, was that you're of course in a list with lots of artist that seeked Venice for inspiration. You'll find motives of Canaletto, Turner and many more. John Singer Sargent loved the city - the following image shows a house Sargent also painted. It looked quite nicer 100 years ago :). Although his image of this one was made with oils, his Venice water colors are just awesome.
