This is the portrait of a fellow artist in our local Art Collective.

I took the opportunity to try an “extra rough” watercolor paper (from the local brand Schut). It has a unusual structure. Some subtle color details are later tweaks I did in the studio, but the rough surface limits corrections and control…. which, on the other hand, helps to keep the image lively.
