Abandoned hut in the Forest

Recently I went to the Noordwijk painting festival again. And to have a fresh artwork to bring as introduction, I’ve put the finishing touches on this watercolor from an earlier painting trip.

When on a hike in the forests in the German Eifel two years ago, we came across this cute but abandoned hut… it had just by itself already a brothers Grimm flair. So we painted it there together. It’s always nice to let some time pass before putting the finishing touches on on a work. And now it’s also properly varnished and cradled (to prevent warping).

As usual, it’s now up in the web-shop among the original paintings – and if there’s some requests I could add a poster.
