Sometimes – maybe once or twice per a thousand figure-drawings – I manage to get this. Quick, simple, but to the point.
I would like to see it happen more often, but I don’t think it can be forced.
These drawings are made with ink on A4 paper.
We’ve had a Hamlet theme at our Amsterdam model-drawing sessions.
I can’t prove it… but the top right one really captured the personality of the model.
I’ve shown this simplified figure drawing before in 2015. I feel it also hit the nail on the head.
